Statement of Faith

1. The Scriptures

We affirm that the Bible, consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It is sufficient for faith, doctrine, and life, and is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

2. The Triune God

We affirm in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God, co-equal and co-eternal, yet distinct in role and function (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

3. The Person & Work of Jesus Christ

We affirm that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, and ascended into heaven, where He intercedes for believers (John 1:1, 14; Luke 1:35; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Hebrews 7:25).

4. The Holy Spirit

We affirm that the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He regenerates, indwells, sanctifies, and empowers all who believe in Jesus Christ, sealing them for the day of redemption (John 16:8-11; Titus 3:5; Ephesians 1:13-14).

5. The Creation & Fall of Man

We affirm that God created mankind, male and female, in His image. However, through Adam’s sin, all humanity fell into sin and became spiritually dead, subject to God’s righteous judgment. Man is unable to save himself apart from divine grace (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12).

6. Salvation

We affirm that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is not by works but is a free gift from God. Those who repent and trust in Christ are justified, forgiven, and given eternal life (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5:1; John 3:16).

7. The Church

We affirm that the universal Church is composed of all true believers in Christ. The local church is the visible expression of Christ’s body, called to preach the gospel, administer the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and equip the saints for ministry (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:42-47; Ephesians 4:11-16).

8. Biblical Gender Roles

We affirm that both men and women are equal in bearing the image of God but are called distinct and complementary roles for men and women in the home and church. Men are called to loving leadership in the home, while women are called to gracious submission and support. In the church, men are called to the office of pastor/elder, while women serve in essential but distinct roles (Ephesians 5:22-33; 1 Timothy 2:12-14; Titus 2:3-5).

9. Marriage & Sexuality

We affirm that marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman, instituted by God for companionship, procreation, and to reflect Christ’s relationship with the Church. Sexual intimacy is to be expressed only within the bounds of biblical marriage (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; Ephesians 5:31-32).

10. The Second Coming of Christ

We affirm in the personal, bodily return of Jesus Christ in power and glory to judge the living and the dead. He will establish His kingdom, and His followers will reign with Him in the new heavens and new earth (Matthew 24:30-31; Revelation 19:11-16; Revelation 21:1-4).

11. The Eternal State

We affirm in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost. The saved will enter eternal joy in the presence of God, while the lost will suffer eternal, conscious punishment in hell (Daniel 12:2; Matthew 25:46; Revelation 20:11-15).
